This course provides students with the knowledge and ability to install, configure, and administer Microsoft Windows XP Professional in a networked environment. Students will learn how to create and manage users and groups, share folders, and control access to files and folders by using permissions. They will also learn how to create and manage partitions, connect to local and networked print devices, optimize and trouble-shoot system performance, and monitor network resources.

Managing and Maintaining a Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003 Environment
This course provides students with the knowledge and ability to install, configure, and administer Microsoft Windows 2003 Server. Students will learn how to create and administer users and groups, configure and manage disks and volumes, and add workstations to their domains. Students will also learn how to manage and implement local and system policies, perform system backups, and trouble-shoot hardware, device drivers, and network connectivity.

Exam 70-291 - Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, and support a network infrastructure using the Microsoft Windows 2003 Server products. Students will learn how to install and configure networking protocols, install a DHCP server, and create DHCP scopes and super-scopes to centrally manage address configuration. Students will also learn about using WINS and DNS to resolve host names on local networks and the Internet, providing clients with Remote Access Services, and providing secure network communications with certificates, authentication, and encryption.

This course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to install, configure, and administer the Windows 2003 Active Directory Components, DNS for Active Directory, and Active Directory security solutions. This course provides students with the knowledge and ability to manage a Windows 2003 network. Students will learn managing Active Directory organization units and Group Policies; and implementing and troubleshooting remote access, and manage various clients on the network.

Program Focus: The main focus of this program is to prepare the student to become a Windows 2003 Microsoft Certified System Engineer. As always, our training is a complete hands-on environment. Upon completing our program and passing the Microsoft tests required for the MCSE Certification, the student is recognized as a technical expert with the Microsoft Windows 2003 operating System and Microsoft BackOffice products.

Course Summary
The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer credential is the premier certification for professionals who analyze the business requirements and design and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Windows® 2003 platform and Microsoft server software. Implementation responsibilities include installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network systems. It is recommended that the student taking this course already have some prior knowledge of computer hardware and software.

Facilities
ServFast Computers features a fully air-conditioned, well-lighted facility with a reception area, administration office, and two training rooms. Our training rooms are able to accommodate 15 students comfortably. Our computers in the training room are 586 Pentium III’s with 17” monitors, and are fully equipped with all the software and training material that the student needs to receive an excellent education. Each student will have their own computer available to them, and also have high speed access to the internet to job search during their free time in class. The school has a break room for students that houses a coffee pot, water cooler, refrigerator, and microwave. Our facilities have both male and female lavatories on the 1st and floor that serve one at a time.

Lighted exits are located in the hallways. Free parking is available in both the front and back of the building.

Financing

Payments usually run about $100 per month. ServFast Computers also offers in house financing payable during the length of your program. Please call for details. To get to our school, you take the Garden State Parkway North or South and take exit 82, which is Route 37 East.
